Why we exist

We exist to help every person do their best work — not because it's good for business, but because it's worth doing.

We believe most people want to do great work. They just need the right environment, the right tools, and the right people around them. That's what we're building — for our customers and for our own team.

We're not a family. We're a high-performing team that genuinely cares about each other. There's a difference, and we think it matters.

Our values

What we stand for

Five principles. Each one has a story.

01
Build with intention
Quality is never an accident.

We delayed a product launch by three months because the onboarding flow felt off. Users were completing it — just not confidently. We rebuilt it. Satisfaction went from 71% to 94%. Nobody regretted the wait. The principle isn't “slow down” — it's “ship when it's ready.”

We've never regretted taking longer to get it right.
02
Debate ideas, trust people
If you agree in the meeting and complain in the corridor, you're doing it wrong.

Once a quarter we run a “Red Team” session — a cross-functional group spends a full day trying to break our biggest assumptions. Two features that would have shipped to silence were caught here. The ground rule is simple: attack the idea, never the person.

The best ideas at Twincrest have come from someone saying 'I think we're wrong.'
03
Show your work
No surprises. No politics. Just clarity.

Every employee sees the full company P&L, quarterly. Every major decision gets a “Why we decided this” doc. When we made a hard call in 2022, the CEO published a 1,200-word post about what went wrong. It's still on our website. We believe transparency is an act of respect.

If you have to hide how a decision was made, it was probably the wrong decision.
04
No brilliant jerks
Talent doesn't excuse behaviour.

We've passed on candidates who would have been technically excellent. In two cases, the team agreed unanimously on skill — and unanimously on a cultural concern. We moved on. One of them reached out later to say they respected it. We consider this one of the most important things we do.

We've never regretted passing on someone. We have regretted not trusting our instincts.
05
Grow or we all lose
Your development is a company priority, not a personal hobby.

Every employee gets $5,000/yr for learning — no approval needed under $500. In 2024, we attended 47 conferences, completed 312 courses, and published 18 internal learning recaps. Three promotions traced directly back to a course someone chose to take.

The day you stop learning is the day you stop being useful to each other.
Leadership

The people who set the tone

Leadership here is visible. They publish, they speak, they teach — and they're accountable.

Culture in action

This is what we actually do together.

The retreats, the hackathons, the volunteer days, the talks. Here's what the last year looked like.

Twincrest Summit 2024 — Queenstown, New Zealand
Annual Retreat

Twincrest Summit 2024 — Queenstown, New Zealand

220 people. 3 days. Guest speaker: Adam Grant. The first day had no laptops and no decks — just listening sessions where every team reported what was working and what wasn't. Day 3 was a hike where we mixed across departments and just talked. People still bring up conversations from that hike.

220 people · 3 days · 1 hike that changed 6 roadmap decisions
Build Week — October 2024
Hackathon

Build Week — October 2024

48 hours. No rules. No theme. 38 projects submitted. 4 shipped to production. One became Pulse — a feature now used by 60% of our customers. Build Week is where we remember that we're all builders, not just the engineers.

38 projects · 4 shipped · 1 became a top product feature
Give Back Days — 2024
Volunteering

Give Back Days — 2024

One paid volunteer day per quarter. In 2024, the team logged 740 hours across: coastal reef restoration in Sydney, code mentoring for youth in SF and London, food rescue in Toronto, digital literacy workshops in Singapore. Plus our “Code for Good” programme put 2 engineers on 3-month secondments to nonprofits.

Twincrest Talks — Monthly
Speaker Series

Twincrest Talks — Monthly

An internal speaker series open to the whole company. External guests have included a behavioural economist, an Olympic marathon runner, and a former navy engineer turned startup founder. We archive every recording. The idea: great thinking shouldn't stay outside the building.

Twincrest Summit 2023 — Lisbon, Portugal
Annual Retreat

Twincrest Summit 2023 — Lisbon, Portugal

Theme: “What got us here won't get us there.” The entire first day was listening sessions — no slides. We came out with a list of 11 things we collectively agreed to stop doing. Half of them are now company policy.

Code for Good
Community

Code for Good

Two engineers per year take 3-month paid secondments to nonprofits. 2024 projects: an inventory system for a food bank, and a volunteer scheduling tool for a community health organisation. Both shipped. Both in use.

Benefits

What we actually offer.

Not “competitive.” Specific.

👶
Parental Leave
16 weeks fully paid. For all parents. Primary and secondary caregivers. From day one. No waiting period.
💰

Every employee gets equity from day one. Not just senior roles. Everyone who helps build this gets a piece of it.
🏠

$2,000 one-time setup allowance. Plus $80/month for internet and phone. Work from where you work best.
🏥
Health Cover
Comprehensive: dental, vision, mental health. Plus 12 free therapy sessions per year through our Employee Assistance Programme.
Flexibility
Core hours are 10am–3pm local time. The other 5 hours are yours to arrange. We measure output, not presence.
🎯

Annual performance bonus. The formula is published company-wide. No black box. No surprises.
🌱
Volunteering
4 paid volunteer days per year. Spent however you choose.
Team
Monthly team lunches. Weekly “coffee roulette” — we pair you randomly across the company. Some people have become close friends from this.
Growth stories

People grow here.

74% of senior roles were filled internally in 2024. Here's what that looks like in practice.

James Okafor
James Okafor
Engineer (2019) → Senior Engineer (2020) → Engineering Lead (2022) → VP Engineering (2024)

I joined as a mid-level engineer with one goal: get better at the craft. I didn't have a plan for leadership. Five years later, I'm leading a team of 64 across 3 countries. Nobody handed it to me — but the opportunity was always in front of me, and people invested in me every step of the way. I try to do the same for the engineers here now.

Leila Nori

Customer Success (2021) → Associate PM (2022) → Senior PM (2024)

I joined in Customer Success because I wanted to understand users before I tried to build for them. Eighteen months later, I asked my manager if I could move to Product. She said yes — and then spent two weeks helping me prepare for the transition. Eighteen months after that, I was promoted. Nobody made me feel like I'd started in the ‘wrong' place.
